My VR Story – Luke Bremmer

Virtual Runner member Luke began his running journey back in 2005 and since then has collected over 143 medals. We thought we would catch up with Luke to find out more.

Luke runs with the Shelton Striders Running Club in Derby, which along with keeping him active, much like Virtual Running, promotes and supports good work in the local communities by raising money for charities like the Padley Centre and the Brain Tumour Charity. Luke has fundraised for charities such as the Derby Hospital Charity Trust, Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People and Leukaemia Research to name a few.

Luke began his Virtual Runner journey in 2017 with his first run being the LIVE event which was hosted at the Becket School in Nottingham in 2017.

“The event has definitely been the best ‘Virtual Run’ I have taken part in”. said Luke.

“I love the feeling of community within running that is unrivalled. There is a supportive and fun but organised environment.

“This all helps make the whole experience even better.

“With Virtual Runner you get the chance to enhance your fitness, help worthwhile charities and add fantastic medals to your collection.

“If you are thinking of joining the Virtual Runner community then I would urge you to do so. It is a great opportunity for anyone to keep fit, stay motivated and become part of an amazing community.”
